About Me
A little about me.
I have been working with children for the past
15 years or so, firstly as a registered helper with
the local Brownies and Rainbows, and since 1997
as an NNEB with various nurseries and subsequently
as a nanny both in the UK and abroad.
I am registered with the IAIM (International
Association of Infant Massage) as a Certified
Infant Massage Instructor.
I can run courses locally in North Surrey either
in a central location (centered on Stoneleigh or
Weybridge), or alternatively in the comfort of your
own home, maybe with a group of friends and their
babies.
About the IAIM
The IAIM was founded in the USA in 1986 after our
founder Vimala McClure worked in an orphanage in
India during the early 1970's. She saw that, through
the loving touch that the babyies were receiving
from their caregivers during massage, they were
thriving.
She then returned to the USA and developed a massage
program to teach parents the joy of infant massage.
Her programme is the standard by which all Infant
Massage programmes are measured. She also developed
a special massage routine for colicky babies.
Her programme is based on Indian and Swedish massage
strokes as well as the positive effects of yoga
and reflexology.
